Bartolome Island

Nobody wanted to believe how high we were getting in the morning hike. The summit of Bartolome Island reaches three hundred and sixty feet above sea level (during low tide) and it seems to be touching the very sky. The landscape is breathtaking as are the steps. We enjoyed the scenery, as well as the nice morning breeze. The higher we got, the more spectacular it was. By the time we returned on board, breakfast was warm and ready. Watermelon was as fresh as it can get. Afterwards, we went for a swim with sea lions and penguins. The surge was particulary high but our experienced guests had no trouble in avoiding the in-coming waves. One of our younger guests though, was left like this after a wave brought a little more sand on than the rest (as it shows in the picture).
