Genovesa

Coming into the Caldera was like being put into a time machine and going back in time and coming out in the Jurassic era. Although we did not see any big T-Rex’s roaming the earth, what we did see was surely as spectacular. Beautiful red footed boobies galore along with other birds that make it a bird lover’s paradise... Of course our landing would not be complete if not for a viewing of the sea lions that were sunbathing on the beach shore. If you want to know why they call baby sea lions pups, then surely you will know the answer after a few days in the Galápagos. Reminiscent of the cutest dog puppies one could hope to see, one could easily get lulled by their natural beauty and grace and forget how truly unique this part of the world is. Hearing the adult sea lions bark and blow excess salt from their noses is just as much a thrill the first time you see it as it continues to be each and everyday. One can not forget that the place is one of nature’s most beautiful. The expert naturalists, who themselves posses such grace and charm (not to mention excellent sense of humor), make this a perfect experience, one that will not be forgotten.
