This is a compendium of impressions...

I’ve got whale snot on my glasses,

cameras and binos too,

My neck is cramped from spinning,

too many whales to view,

There’s babies and there’s mamas,

swimming in the bay,

What could these guys come up with, to top this second day?

I’ve got the fluking blue whale blues.

The sun is bright and burning,

the rays are beating down,

My skin is getting crispy,

more wrinkles are coming ‘round,

I’m squirting on more sunscreen,

spreading it real thick,

I hope this helps to keep me from getting red like bricks,

I’ve got the fluking blue whale blues.

My tootsies are a freezing,

while the fish look back at me,

My mask is always fogging as I’m sucking up the sea,

Floating on the water,

bobbing all around,

The sealions must think that I’m a clumsy flippered clown,

I’ve got the fluking blue whale blues.

The waters churned and boiled,

The jacks are back in town.

Everyone is feeding,

there’s scared fish all around,

Birds are reeling overhead,

we look with mouths agape,

It’s bombs away with guano,

for us there’s no escape.

We got the fluking blue whale blues.
