Casa Orquideas & Golfo Dulce

Early in the morning our voyaging brought us to Golfito port where we had some previews of the beauty of the area. While the sun was rising behind the mountains we continued our voyaging until we arrived at Casa Orquedeas, where the exuberance of the local vegetation is carefully combined with the beauty of a premium tropical garden. During the morning we had the chance to test delicious exotic fruits and view an amazing display of exotic plant species, many which also had some ethnobotanical use as natural medicines.

Later and after some swimming in the pleasant waters of the gulf, the Sea Voyager lifted anchor and headed further inside part of Golfo Dulce. Along the way the mountains were magically accompanying every view from our vessel. This important gulf is one of a kind and preserves a particular set of sea life species.

Later in the afternoon we had the opportunity to visit one of the most important parts of the inner side of the gulf. With Zodiacs and kayaks we explored the mangroves of Rincon River where we saw several species of water birds and mammals while experiencing the majesty of this particular ecosystem. While we where heading back to the Sea Voyager the nightlife was waking up and another impressive set of completely different animals where taking over in a dance of life with no end.
