We woke up this morning to another beautiful sunrise in Baja California Sur while transiting to Cabo Falso and Land’s End. Masked boobies flew alongside National Geographic Venture as we made our way south. Humpback whales greeted us as we approached the southern tip of the Baja peninsula. Continuing past the arches at Cabo San Lucas, we transitioned from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of California. In those waters, we witnessed a competitive group of male humpbacks at Gorda Banks.

After lunch and a show by the humpbacks, National Geographic Venture anchored at Los Frailes, just south of Cabo Pulmo Marine Park. Mobula rays were spotted jumping out of the water as guests made their way to the beach in Zodiacs. Hikes along the beach were a great way to stretch our legs and feel the waters of the Gulf of California. A dramatic sunset set the scene as we made our way back to the ship for dinner, capping off another great day in Baja California Sur.
