Early this morning National Geographic Venture rounded the southern tip of Baja California in an area known as Land’s End. We encountered our first groups of humpback whales just after breakfast, and they put on quite a show. We were able to see these whales actively breaching or propelling their massive 50-foot bodies fully out of the water. As we cruised the Gorda Banks area, we saw many more whales and lots of activity. Some lucky guests were quick enough with their cameras to capture images of this unique behavior.

After lunch we anchored off Los Frailes Beach, just south of the world-renowned Cabo Pulmo National Park. This location offered an excellent opportunity for beach walks and getting in the water to try out our snorkel gear. As guests made their way back to the ship, we enjoyed another beautiful Baja sunset.
