The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on February 22, 2017.

While yesterday served as an overview of the city, today we pursued in-depth people to people experiences.  A morning tour had us meet with workers at the Jose Fuster ceramics project in Jaimanitas, and later saw the gallery of Kcho, one of Cuba’s most influential contemporary artists.  In the afternoon, we split into two groups based on individual interests.  One group met with Roberto Pérez at the Jimenez Foundation to discuss environmental stability in Cuba, followed by a round-table discussion with journalists at the upcoming OnCuba Magazine headquarters.  Another group met with faculty at the University of Havana followed by a detailed tour of the Revolution Museum.
