This morning, we dropped anchor at Hobbit Hole in the Inian Islands near the northern entrance to the Inside Passage. Guests went on Zodiac tours of the islands, observing Steller sea lions, sea otters, bald eagles, bull kelp, and more!
In the afternoon, we made our way out to Icy Strait, where we ended up surrounded by very active humpbacks! We watched as the whales ate, tail slapped, and breached. One guest counted over 60 breaches!
We ended our day with an introduction to the crew and a presentation about tides from Ellie.
