We enjoyed a beautiful morning of hikes and kayaking at Kelp Bay on Baranof Island! Several hiking groups trekked through the muddy forest to a stunning lakeside view, replete with birdsong and banana slugs! Kayakers enjoyed exploring the protected bay. After pulling anchor and heading towards Chatham Strait, we were interrupted by a sighting of a young breaching humpback whale! The whale breached over thirty times with mom nearby, and it was such a treat! Today was another lovely day in Southeast Alaska!
