Somehow, the final day of our voyage is already here. We bundled up and stepped ashore, ready to wander the temperate rainforest. A beautiful river accompanied us as we followed a winding trail inland, the trees growing taller and more ancient with every step toward the old-growth forest surrounding Lake Eva. It was a beautiful, peaceful way to enjoy our final moments exploring together in the wild.
Later, we cruised through Peril Strait, crossed Sergius Narrows, and watched the scenery of bald eagles, sea otters, misty trees, and the soft light on the water drift by on our transit. Tomorrow, we reach Sitka but tonight, we are still wrapped in the journey, full of gratitude for every treasure the Inside Passage has offered.
