With a gentle rain reminding us that we are in one of the largest intact temperate rainforests, we set off exploring today. Petersburg is a scenic and inviting place to get a taste of Alaska, from the Norwegian rosemaling designs painted on the downtown storefronts, to the tasty snow crab we procured locally for our dinner this evening.
We explored a muskeg, learned of traditional plant uses, and ended our day with a Ray Troll Fashion Show. We walked our impromptu runway, showing a diversity of fishy t-shirt humor with tunes from Ratfish Wranglers playing in the background.
