The day was exciting from the start. As we positioned ourselves in Pavlof Harbor early in the morning, we saw brown bears along the coastline almost immediately. This was good news for our afternoon hikes! Once on the shoreline, we witnessed bears hunting salmon and walking in and out of the forest. Although the bears were the highlight, the intertidal coastline also offered us the chance to take a beautiful walk to observe various marine organisms.
