We are well into our Svalbard and Norway expedition and today held a special treat for us. We visited the most beautiful fishing village, located on the island of Moskenesoya in the Lofoten Archipelago. The village, under 70 acres, has a population of 314 people. It is a center for the local fishing industry, and one can observe the centuries-old cod fishing traditions. Some of our group went for a wonderful mountain climb to see the area below, while others explored the town at a leisurely pace and enjoyed a Zodiac cruise around the beautiful fjords.
The hotel team on board created the most beautiful BBQ lunch, complete with every donut you can imagine made fresh! It was a wonderful day.
