We started very early in the morning with a pre breakfast hike to explore Pitt Point. The highlight of the day was watching the multitude of red-footed boobies flying everywhere. There were also blue footed boobies dancing on the trail. The morning ended with a lovely snorkeling excursion with curious sea lions off a beautiful beach on the north side of San Cristobal Island.
In the afternoon, we encountered dolphins on our way to visit Cerro Brujo, a stunning coralline, soft, white-sand beach with turquoise waters. We went for a walk and a swim along the coast. We concluded our first expedition day in the Galapagos joined by dozens of sea lions - a perfect end to a wonderful day.
