Santiago Island has a lot of human history left behind. Since the discovery of Galapagos, whalers, pirates, and explorers have visited this Island for many different reasons, most commonly to collect water, food, and repair their ships.

Today we visited three visitor sites. What really impressed our dear explorers was the fact that they were just a few miles from one another, but its flora and fauna and landscapes were as different as if they were from another Island.
