Our first day exploring the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve began by exploring a lush forest in Tierre Firme. The area is called Casual and never floods, allowing interesting animals to settle here. With the help of local guides, we had a great morning with sightings of reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and insects.

During the afternoon, we explored a beautiful river called Yanayacu. Its black water flows into the Marañon River and pink and gray dolphins gathers here to feast on the fish that get confused in the mouth of the river. Some of our guests kayaked while others explored on skiffs.
