Arrive in Reykjavík and transfer to the city center, where a private dayroom awaits at a centrally located hotel.* Take time to relax or explore the surrounding historic district at your own pace before meeting your local guide in the early afternoon.
Set out on a guided culinary walk through Reykjavík’s colorful neighborhoods, sampling a mix of beloved classics and contemporary favorites that reflect Iceland’s evolving food culture. Highlights may include a bowl of rich, warming lobster soup, a taste of traditional plokkfiskur—a comforting fish stew rooted in Icelandic home cooking—and the city’s famously iconic hot dog, celebrated as a point of national pride. Along the way, your guide shares insight into Iceland’s culinary traditions, sustainable sourcing and the creative energy driving the country’s modern cuisine.
Following the food walk, transfer to the port for embarkation.
