Naturalists/Certified Photo Instructors

Help you turn your point-and-shoot camera into an aim & create

Every expedition aboard a ship in our National Geographic-flagged fleet offers an exclusive service—a Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic certified photo instructor. This naturalist is specially trained to offer assistance with camera settings, the basics of composition, and to help you become a better, more confident photographer.

Our certified photo instructors can meet you wherever you are on your photographic journey—from just-purchased-a-camera beginner to sophisticated hobbyist.

And, whether your camera is an iPhone, a point-and-shoot, or a sophisticated DSLR, they work with you to give practical tips and tools, to answer your questions or give invaluable, in-the-moment tips. Because they’re naturalists, their knowledge of wildlife helps you know where to aim to improve your chances of capturing a great moment. During Recap, they share images they’ve taken and explain what they did to capture a moment you were there for, too.

Taking advantage of their expertise will help you better express what you saw and felt on your expedition, to go home with your best shots ever.
