Assistant Expedition Leader
Alexandra is happiest when chasing waterfalls, exploring wilderness, or reveling in a good story. Her travels have brought her from Asia, to Central and South America, the Pacific Islands, across the United States and up to Alaska. She is fascinated by ice in all its forms and loves to revel in the vastness of the polar regions and is thrilled to take her adventures to the sea after many years of hoofing it across various continents.
Raised in the Fingerlakes region of upstate NY, Alexandra received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Emory University with a specialty in field work pertaining to Global Health, Culture and Society. She spent a semester living abroad in Vietnam with a focus on the natural and cultural ecology of the Mekong River Delta and has been traveling ever since. In her 20’s, she co-founded and served as both an outdoor guide and Director for an educational startup focused on nature connection in the Silicon Valley and continues to be driven by helping people connect to themselves and the natural world. Alexandra completed a year-long apprenticeship program learning wilderness and bush craft skills in Central New York and loves to spend time crafting with wood and other natural materials when she is home. She is eager to explore the farthest reaches of the Earth with Lindblad-National Geographic in order to promote conservation and awareness of fragile ecosystems.
