Rodrigo Moterani was born in Brazil in 1976. After spending his teen years playing with camcorders and VCRs, Rodrigo ended up working in the field of television journalism and video production in his home country. He graduated with a degree in communications in 1997.
Rodrigo furthered his studies at the prestigious Goldsmiths College, University of London, an internationally renowned university known for its creative and innovative approach to teaching and research. While at Goldsmiths, Rodrigo completed a master’s degree in documentary production in 2001.
Rodrigo specializes in fly-on-the-wall documentaries - a classic technique that aims at exploring life as it happens, reproducing the feeling of being there. Rodrigo has been working for Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic since 2008. On these expeditions not only has Rodrigo captured some truly incredible footage, but they have also proved to be remarkable opportunities for him to learn about both his technique and the wonders of the natural world.
As video chronicler, Rodrigo has his cameras at-the-ready 24 hours a day and seven days a week, with just one goal: to capture the essence of each expedition. Voyage DVDs are available at the end of each expedition — they often prove to be remarkable ways of remembering and recapturing the magic of these remarkable journeys.
