Born in Hollywood with a camera in his hand, Ross is a Los Angeles-based documentary filmmaker and photographer who is inspired by a good cause and strives to raise awareness wherever he can through his pictures and films.
While majoring in Film and Economics at the Boston University College of Communication, he learned the art of documentary filmmaking as an editor and cameraman for the Harvard-Smithsonian Science Media Group. After graduating, he returned to LA and since then he has produced, edited and shot two feature documentaries, and developed scripted television shows for E! and FX. He is always courting adventure and whenever asked, he finds himself picking up his camera and embarking on assignments that have taken him to the jungles in Panama, fashion week in NYC, the Aran Islands in Ireland, sailing across the Atlantic and filming tigers in Missouri. His photography work has been published in Vanity Fair and Vogue among other magazines, and films he has produced have been distributed by Virgil Films and the Samuel Goldwyn Company. His current high profile documentary on global energy security was shot around the world.
