Sokie Lee was born in Kowloon, Hong Kong and has lived in New York since age nine. Raised with a Chinese holistic approach to living, she maintains that philosophy today. As a longtime New Yorker, Sokie keeps her sanity by traveling whenever possible. Her independent and adventurous nature led her to join Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic as a wellness specialist in 2007.
Sokie Lee is a New York State licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of bodywork experience. She’s a graduate of the Swedish Institute; she also studied Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Thai massage. In 2006 Sokie became a certified instructor in T'ai Chi Chih. She has also been a practitioner of Qigong for many years and she is currently studying Ba Gua Zhang, a martial art rooted in circular movements.
Sokie's love for water includes SCUBA diving, kayaking, and sunfish sailing. Sokie has also competed in several Dragon Boat races, a popular international racing competition. Her other passions include astrology, cooking, eating, and theater. Sokie is always enthusiastic about exploring new places and ideas, and sharing experiences with her fellow travelers whom she meets along the way.
