Annalise Pasztor

Annalise Pasztor is a documentary filmmaker and photographer from San Antonio, Texas. Raised by two avid naturalists, she spent her childhood running around the Texas Hill Country with a point-and-shoot camera in hand, finding magic in the natural world through her lens. She realized she liked it even better when the pictures moved, and out of high school began working in commercial film as a cinematographer and editor.

Annalise studied film production and anthropology at the University of Southern California, developing her passion for telling stories that explore how people shape and are shaped by the world around us. After graduating, she went on to create short journalistic documentaries for The Atlantic as a video fellow before founding her own media production company. Her work has been published in The New York Times, Science Magazine, Texas Monthly, and The Austin Chronicle, and screened at over 15 international film festivals.

Between projects, you can find Annalise scuba diving (ask her about her love for nudibranchs), volunteering as an EMT, and tricking her self-described “indoorsy” friends into camping with her and her dog Gary.
