Sarah Grewe
Growing up in Michigan, the Great Lakes provided Sarah with endless opportunities to explore both on land and in the water. She discovered scuba diving early and has continued building a life around the ocean ever since. An avid runner, she has completed races in 40 U.S. states, numerous marathons and a 50K eco-run in France. Her outdoor pursuits have also included hiking in U.S. national parks and completing the Three Peaks Challenge in the United Kingdom.
Scuba diving opened the door to new opportunities above and below the surface. Sarah is an IDC Staff Instructor, where she helps train and mentor future scuba instructors. Living in Curaçao as a dive instructor allowed her to work closely with local coral restoration and sea turtle conservation teams. She particularly enjoys teaching drysuit, Project AWARE and rescue courses, and takes pride in introducing divers to Michigan's underwater landscapes while exploring dive sites around the world.
Sarah earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University and later completed a master's degree in Educational Leadership at Saginaw Valley State University. She continues to teach mathematics and coach students in her local community. As a naturalist and expedition diver, she enjoys combining education, diving and conservation while sharing the marine environments she explores with guests.
